Snow Candy - Take 8oz of pure maple syrup and boil it for 4 minutes in a pot. Pour it onto fresh snow in small strips. Use popsicle sticks to gather it, and once it's hard, it's ready to eat.
Spa Day - Place a bunch of beach towels on the floor and pretend you're in paradise. Give mom/dad a makeover or massage. Paint nails or have a facial.
Paint the Snow - Take an old spray bottle and fill it with water and food coloring. Build something amazing in the snow and use the spray bottle to add color.
Feed the Birds - Mix together whatever bird-friendly ingredients you have lying around -- oatmeal, cracker crumbs, raisins, Cheerios, etc. -- and apply it to a paper towel holder or pinecone with peanut butter. Then put it outside for the birds to enjoy.
Snowman Art - Find as many art supplies as you can around the house. Design and create a very decorative snowman.
Write a Poem - Go to Poetry4Kids and learn how to write different kinds of poetry.
Build a Fort - Using blankets and pillows make a fort. Curl up in your fort and read a good book about snow.
